Job Description

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent is responsible for layout, installation,repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings.Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – varied hoursPay Rate: Will be in accordance with the S.E.I.U., Local 1 Canada Service WorkersCollective Agreement for Carpenter Classification.Qualifications:Education:

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma;
  • Ontario Certificate of Qualification for General Carpentry.
Experience:
  • Experience with construction and/or renovation projects.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate
effectively, courteously and tactfully;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and
procedures installation and maintenance;
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet,
database and word processing, programs at a proficient level;
  • Ability to organize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently;
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other trades;
  • Must have annual review education completed;
  • Must have previous proven good performance and attendance record.
