  • Design, install and maintain telecommunications systems (networking, servers, virtualization, wireless).
  • Identify client needs for new business opportunities or ongoing projects.
  • Define the scope of projects and proposals.
  • Serve as a technical reference on the team.
  • Prepare blog articles, technical papers or other documents to promote the firm.
  • Provide leadership when preparing technical and commercial proposals.
  • Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the team to other departments.
  • Lead and coordinate technical teams to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with clients while meeting their high expectations.
  • Use your professional network to generate business opportunities.
  • Promote BBA services to potential clients.
  • Based on your interests, you may be called upon to take on the following roles: System or Network Administrator, System Architect, Project Leader or Project Manager or Client Account Manager

Requirements
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in networking, systems administration, telecommunications or any combination of education and experience relevant to the position
  • At least five years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in configuring, deploying and operating various telecommunications systems (wireless IP network, wired IP networks, CCTV, etc.)
  • Experience with troubleshooting, commissioning and implementing telecommunications systems
Assets
  • A good network of contacts in industry, mining and energy
  • Practical experience in communication system design (design criteria, network architecture, IT and networking infrastructure, equipment selection, etc.)
  • Experience in cost estimation and in preparing and presenting proposals
  • Experience in designing and deploying networks in accordance with industry best practices in cybersecurity (IEC 62443)
  • Experience in a consulting engineering environment
  • Experience in designing and deploying industrial production networks
