Job Description

ICONIX has an immediate opening for an experienced Business Development Manager, Mining in Ontario. The successful candidate will drive mining market sales in the assigned provinces by cultivating new business, managing existing relationships, and focusing on growing the ICONIX brand with consulting engineers within the mining industry.This position is open to all areas in the Province of Ontario.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing business in the mining market for Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Quebec & Northern Canada.
  • Leading the bidding process to provide leadership and consistency.
  • Responsible for achieving sales budget and targets.
  • Interacting with customers to understand their applications.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate customer records.
  • Working with Market Leader and Regional Managers to ensure sales and operations efforts are aligned.
  • Maintaining knowledge of the competitors’ products and activities.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • College/University education required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of technical sales experience in the mining market.
  • Existing network of mining customers/consultants required.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license (driver’s abstract required).
