Job Description

Locations: SudburyProvinces: OntarioCurrently Technica is seeking Confined Space Attendants to join our growing team for shut-down work available at a local mine in the Sudbury Basin. The role of the Confined Space Attendant is to understand the hazards of the confined space and ensure the safety of personnel. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Controlling hazards and monitoring the confined space conditions
  • Maintaining communication with the workers in the confined space
  • Keeping records of activities that occur such as personnel entry and exit, air test results etc. of the confined space
  • Initiating emergency response plan and taking appropriate action if an emergency/accident occurs
Qualifications
  • Must have Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0012) or equivalent
  • Valid Working at Heights certification
  • Previous experience in an industrial setting and/or confined space attendant experience is an asset
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  • Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment
