Job Description

General Responsibilities: Responsible for unloading freight from incoming trailers. Stage orders on dock to meet shipping deadlines.Count and sort product, record any shortages, damages, overages on the pick-up/linehaul manifest, and report any discrepancy to the Terminal Manager.Plan the outgoing merchandise according to the cubing and weight distribution.Coordinate and prioritize terminal activities, dock operations with city and switch driversLoad or assist in loading appropriate freight onto delivery trucks and trailers, ensure proper pallet placement and secure loads. Ensure the appropriate bills are with the skid.Re-planning and coordination of deliveries according to priorities given by the Terminal Manager.Local pick up and deliveries as required.Requirements: Minimum 1 year experience as a forklift operator;Experience in a transportation company ( asset)Ability to work efficiently and quickly to meet the daily requirements of LTL TransportationLogical and analytical mindComputer skills, reporting and data entryGood understanding of mix freight loading and unloading with attention to safety procedures.AZ Licence (asset)As you are committed to the success of your team, you do not hesitate to help with other related tasks .Join a winning team that is in TOP 100 in CANADA !MRT is your detination for a fulfilling career, up to your challenges!Please take note that Martin Roy Transport is subscribed to a pay equity in employment.
