Join our team and become part of a community that strives for positive change–providing the best solutions for our clients’ toughest challenges!Summary:Hatch is seeking an Electrical Engineering new grad with interest in Electrical and Power system engineering in our Project Delivery Group. Reporting to the Electrical discipline lead Engineer, you will support projects globally working from our Sudbury office with opportunities in other Hatch offices and at project job sites.What Will a Career at Hatch Offer You:You will:

  • Industrial electrical design for LV, MV and HV power distribution including development of single line diagrams, motor schematics, protection/control schemes and layout drawings.
  • Electrical system modelling using Easypower/ETAP, conducting arc flash and other studies.
  • Development of technical specifications, reports and construction work packages
  • Power system control programming, configuration, implementation on-site and commissioning
  • Interfacing and collaboration with project team members, clients and vendors
Education and Experience:
  • Must be working towards graduating in 2020, or recently graduated, with a Bachelors of Applied Science, Masters of Applied Science, or Masters of Engineering from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of power systems, AC and DC design and electrical design fundamentals.
  • Courses in electric circuits, power electronics and electric machines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous coop or work terms in electrical engineering design/execution will be considered an asset.
