Terraprobe Inc. is looking for a Geotechnical Project Coordinator to join our team in our SUDBURY office. For this position, the candidate would be expected to work in a geotechnical engineering office. The candidate would liaison with the Branch Manager to schedule the field technicians. The person may also be requested to conduct some field work at times of peak demand.Responsibilities:Familiar with concrete testing/sampling.Familiar with compaction testing using a nuclear gauge.Familiar with field work- soil drilling supervision and soil sampling.Familiar with soil laboratory testing.Daily scheduling of testing field technicians.Keep track of client project number and information.Order laboratory and field supplies.Expand soil testing client based in conjunction with the Branch Manager.Repair or have repaired laboratory equipment.Daily Nuclear gauges checks and logging.Good computer skills and familiar with the following software programs - WordPerfect, Excel,Word, AutoCAD.Must have good documentation skills for field notes.Must have good personality to interact and liaise with clients.Health and Safety representative.Check radio activity with Geiger counter meter every three months.Requirements:C. Tech, C. E. T. or P. Eng. designation or must be eligible to register.CCIL/ CSA certified concrete technician Type Q & Type RCCIL Asphalt Type B (HMA) certified technician.Certified Nuclear Density gauge operator (Radsafe Certification & TDGA Training provided).Valid driver’s license and vehicle.Experience in the geotechnical field of engineering.Ability to work overtime hours as required to satisfy client demands during peak periods.Work independently under the Branch Manager.4-5 years experience in a similar field.Compensation:Full Time PositionHourly rate will depend on experience.Includes full health/dental benefits package after 3-month probationary period.Vehicle mileage expense.At Terraprobe Inc., we know that great experiences start with the right people.
