The end date is until further notice and subject to change, however, this assignment will not extend beyond the end of the current school year.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSCurrent member in good standing with the Ontario College of TeachersQualification in Junior DivisionKnowledge of current Ministry initiativesExcellent English communication skills, both oral and writtenSound knowledge of evidence-based assessment practices, including the use of diagnostic assessments to inform teaching and learningA commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learnerWorking knowledge of the IPRC process and the IEP, as they relate to planning and programmingKnowledge, experience and proven ability in utilizing differentiated instructional approaches within the classroom that support effective instruction and engage studentsAn ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic Education and integrating the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations throughout classroom practiceA willingness to participate in the school’s ongoing literacy and numeracy initiativesProven ability to implement effective classroom management strategiesExcellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability and commitment to working with students, staff, and parentsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to provide regular attendanceFor external candidates, please apply via sudburycatholicschools.simplication.com and submit a completed Catholic Teacher Application found on our website www.sudburycatholicschools.ca.
