Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the General Manager/COO, the maintenance/housekeeper is responsible for general cleaning and maintenance at Idylwylde Golf & Country Club. The position is Tuesday through Sunday 4:30 am - 9 am give or take an hour or two. Great position for someone that has commitments during the day.Part-time.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to plan and schedule daily and weekly work duties.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to communicate both in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving the buildings cleanliness and maintenance to meet the needs of the employees and members of the Idylwylde.
  • Ensure the constant cleanliness and maintenance of the building and all facilities.
  • Responsible for buildings cleanliness and general repair. Inspects facilities and work areas to eliminate deficiencies and improve club facilities.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance procedures and programs and makes changes to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Inspect buildings for cleanliness and maintenance issues. Make schedule adjustments to provide clean operable facilities during peak hours.
  • Respond to member/guest complaints and inquiries tactfully and in a timely manner.
  • Keep the General Manager/COO adequately informed at all times.
  • Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the Idylwylde Health & Safety Policy.
  • Work as a Team Player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Walking: While reviewing facilities.
  • Talking/Hearing: To community with staff; members/guests and vendors.
  • Pulling: To open drawers; to open doors; to pull the vacuum.
  • Pushing: To close drawers; to close doors; push the vacuum.
TRAINING AND EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Planning and Organizing.
  • Interpersonal and Communication.
  • General knowledge of facility mechanical systems and general maintenance.
  • Ability to work as a member of “the team”.
  • Creative and innovative thinking.
  • Decision-making and judgment.
  • The position requires an individual who is capable of exercising independent judgment and possesses the personal disposition and qualities required of people who work well with the public, members, staff, and external customers.
