Job Description

We seek to create 401 customers for life!Location: 2100 Kingsway, Sudbury (Sudbury Yamaha)Hours: Monday - SaturdayWage: Base Salary $31,200K + bonusWe are seeking a Service Advisor with a strong understanding of the marine and powersports industries. The individual must have excellent customer service skills to work with customers to resolve their concerns, determine repair timelines and communicate with technicians to provide accurate repair descriptions, create work orders and delivery.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Verify marine and powersport services by listening to the customers description of symptoms; clarifying the description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
  • Create estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labour; calculating customers payment, including deductibles
  • Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
  • Look up parts, order parts and complete part inventory as required
  • Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of marine and powersports equipment; obtaining customers approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation
  • Maintain accurate records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers publications
  • Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Completion of Highschool
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Minimum 1-2 years in the marine and powersports industries experience
  • Valid G2 or G drivers license
  • Ability to work flexible hours within our business hours including Saturdays
