To get Boart Longyear news direct, follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):The successful candidate for the role of Production Supervisor is a self-starter with creative ideas, a positive and proactive attitude, and experience or skills in leveraging a full range of marketing tools across various channels. The ability or track record to work across cultures and time zones is a plus. The successful candidate will work with the production team, collaborating with internal production teams as needed.Key duties include:

• Supervise unionized workforce

• Monitor attendance, payroll, timecards

• Assist with Operator Training

• Take an active roll in Boart Longyear’s Lean program

• Help with continuous improvement projects throughout the shop

• Make improvements in our Product Manufacturing Processes (Cycle / Lead times)

• Be an active contributor to our ISO-9001/2000, ISO-14000 and ISO-18000 programs

• Assist with the monthly Quality / Safety Meetings - Maintain a professional, clean shop

**Required Skills and Experience**The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

• Supervisory experience

• 5+ years machining experience

• Working knowledge of CBA administration in a unionized environment

• Knowledge of Health and Safety laws of Ontario

• Good knowledge of CNC Programming/CNC/MC machine set up

• Troubleshooting skills

• Good communication skills

• Able to work rotating shift work consisting of 8-hr, 10-hr or 12-hr shifts
