There is still more to be learned about the character and benefits of the Camerise berry and its gifts to wine aficionados.They also are superbly nutritious, rich in antioxidants, more Vitamin C than oranges and they make the most superb Wine, especially in the hands of a careful wine maker.We offer a basic a living income and a generous profit sharing agreement.Job descriptionJob Description for the WinemakerThe winemaker, enologist or vintner, oversees our entire production process for creating artisanal fruit wine, including knowledge of fruit harvesting, crushing, fermentation, aging, blending and bottling. One will combine scientific concepts with practical experience to alter a wines chemical composition and make key decisions based on the levels of acid, sugar, sulfur and sulfite within a wine. Our Winemaker must learn the characteristics of the Camerise fruit. also negotiate/communicate with the grower to assure delivery of the correct fruit variety. This supports the attainment of their distinct flavours. Translating into the pleasure of our customers. In the case of this smaller winery, our winemakers responsibilities begins with knowing the advantages of each berrys distinct culture to extend success through to the marketing and selling of the final product.Duties of a WinemakerGenerally, our winemakers duties begin with knowing the right time to harvest, based on the berrys relative levels of moisture, sweetness and acidity. The job would likely require managing the harvesting and transportation processes.After harvest, our incumbent will supervise the crushing process that turns the berries into a mixture known as must. The winemaker knows if and when the adding of the yeast varieties, sulfites and sugar to the must before heating to trigger fermentation. Our process involves the use of machinery, such as vats and pumps, and filtres to separate and ferment the wine before its transferred into wood or steel barrels for aging. Additional duties might include general maintenance of the pumps, barrels and temperature control equipment.At various stages of the process, the winemaker may conduct or oversee the work of laboratory technicians who sample and analyze the wine to gauge its chemical composition. Based on these tests, a winemaker decides when to bottle the finished product.Requirements to Become a Winemaker for Our FirmThere are no strict educational requirements for our careers in wine production.
