Job Description

LaPrairie Works offers expertise in materials engineering including, concrete, asphaltic concrete, rail ballast, sand and various construction related materials and supply.At LaPrairie Works we provide a full range of aggregate and resource materials production services. We are equipped to handle every phase of the materials engineering process, from initial exploration to delivery of the end-product.Currently, we are looking to hire Crusher Support Operators with aggregate and heavy equipment experience.The Crusher Support Operator is responsible for monitoring crushing equipment for efficiency and any potential jams or hang-ups within the equipment and will be required to provide general manual labour on site. Crusher Support Operator must adhere to all safety and operating procedures.Job Duties

  • Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures.
  • Receive directions from site foreman regarding day to day operations and tasks.
  • Provide on-going support and assistance to equipment operators.
  • Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level. Quantity of fuel and fluids must be written and reported in the inspection log.
  • Assists in the maintenance works of the equipment.
  • Maintain tidiness around site and equipment.
Job Requirements
  • Experience working with Jaw-cone and Impact crushing equipment would be considered an asset.
  • Familiar with maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work Conditions
  • Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Overtime as required
  • Ability and willingness to travel. The successful incumbent must be able to travel and manage multiple locations.
