Job Description

PEOPLE EMPOWERING PEOPLEAs one of our valued front-line Health Care Aides in our Designated Supportive Living Facility, Stone Brook, you will work directly with Residents with diverse needs by encouraging opportunities for independence, well-being, and inclusion. Care Human Services, is an accredited, not-for-profit, charitable organization that provides a wide range of community services in Northwest Alberta.Care Human Services is currently hiring individuals who are NOT certified as Health Care Aides. HCA Certification within one year of being hired is a requirement of employment and Care Human Services will provide financial assistance to complete the program.WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assisting individuals with personal care routines such as basic hygiene routines, including dressing, bathing and grooming
  • Assisting individuals in meeting goals to improve quality of life
  • Medication administration
  • Housekeeping tasks
  • Attending appointments
  • Supporting with physical activities outside and in the community where possible
  • Collaborate as a member of a health care team and utilize the Residents Care Plan developed by a Registered Nurse
  • Provide individualized care to Level 3, Level 4 and Level 4D Dementia Residents.
  • Completing documentation that is consistent with Care Human Services policies and procedures.
  • Care Human Services supports Individuals 24/7, these positions are rotation based, and shifts occur all day and throughout the night
Our work sites are home to therapeutic animals, including cats and dogs.WHAT YOU NEED
  • Health Care Aide Certificate OR commitment to complete Certification within 6 month of full time employment;
  • Clear Criminal Record Check;
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Must be 18 years old to apply;
  • Mandatory Full COVID-19 Immunization.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE
  • Full-Time - averaging 40 hours per week, 4 days on, 2 days off day and evening shifts
