We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join the team.Role SummaryAs a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our Veteran Assessmentclinic #39;s smooth and efficient operation. Your responsibilities will include managing administrative tasks, assisting healthcare professionals, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.Key Responsibilities:

  • Call veterans within 24-48 hrs and schedule them in accordingly
  • Be a welcoming and professional front line person in the Veteran Affairs side of the business answering phone and assisting Nurse Practitioners/ RNs
  • Report to the Veterans Affairs Business Unit Manager
  • Create profile/ chart in EMR for veteran
  • Auto populate forms with their demographics and the clinics demographics for all forms for each veteran
  • Confirm appointments the previous day and ensure veterans have all relevant information for the appointment,are aware of all forms needed and aware of location of appointment (multiple locations)
  • Ensure all completed auto populated forms are in Drop Box under each NP and according to veterans name on the day of appt
  • Confirm completion of forms
  • Scan all completed forms to veterans chart then pass along to Business Unit Manager
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or certificate in Medical Office Administration or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
