IoM Media Ventures is a 3D animation studio located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our studio’s talent-friendly, encouraging atmosphere is where highly-skilled individuals come together to create ground breaking animated content and custom interactive interfaces.The Role:We’re currently seeking an Animator to join one of our awesome 3D productions! As an Animator, you will have exceptional character animation skills and considerable experience in 3D animation for broadcast television or feature film productions. You excel at creating high-calibre, dramatic and action-oriented character animation, while at the same time meeting production deadlines.Responsibilities:Work from storyboard/animatic to create animation sequences as assigned by directorStrong understanding of the principles of animation, lip-sync, and camera compositionComplete assigned animation within scheduled timeframeBlock movements in rough animation, refine and polish to completion in final animationAddress required revisions and modify shots as requestedBased on the production schedule and resources available, ensure and maintain the quality, style and continuity of your animationAnticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with assistance from key stakeholdersActively participate in production-related meetings by offering thoughts and ideasAssist with and complete production-related assignmentsKeep current on animation techniques and technologyEnsure the lead animator/director’s instructions are carried throughRecommend any team training needs to lead animatorCarry out duties in a professional and positive mannerBe a positive and creative force on the teamQualifications:2+ year of experience in animation or film industryDegree/diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent experience an assetProficiency with standard industry software (eg.
