As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.Position Title: Account ManagerTeam and Location: Commercial - RemotePosition Summary:Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Account Manager is a sales position responsible for acquiring and maintaining new accounts, as well as retaining and growing existing accounts in the Pacific Region.Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively target, acquire, develop and grow share of wallet and net new business for Parkland from accounts in various industry segments such as transportation, forestry, agriculture and construction.
  • Manage a portfolio by developing exceptional relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate, review and extend new as well as existing commercial contracts.
  • Develop robust pipeline of business leads and opportunities.
  • Achieve volume and margin sales targets.
  • Analyze competitive and market data to develop and implement fuel and lubricants sales strategies.
  • Manage buying group relationships.
  • Assist credit and finance teams with managing payment and credit terms and budgeting, as required.
  • Work collaboratively with Parkland Business Units to share industry information, market intelligence and to promote sales related to other divisions i.e. commercial fuel, propane, retail branding opportunities, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5 or more years experience in a sales role.
  • Knowledge and experience with selling fuel and lubricants.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop strong relationships with customers and key decision makers.
  • Previous experience with reviewing, negotiating and executing contracts is an asset.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic professional selling and demonstrating value to customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of the art of negotiations and profitability analysis processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to competently analyze P&L statements.
  • Ability to develop and implement programs.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • A motivated self -starter, with good organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel 20% with some overnights may be required.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
