  • Performs data reconciliations, benefit calculations, asset summaries and contribution requirements;
  • Receives and responds to routine plan enquiries and requests from clients;
  • Supports the relationship between clients and other members of the consulting team;
  • Takes direction from, and supports, senior team members;
  • Attends internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends;
  • Assists with special projects and tasks, as required;
  • Works with databases and LifeWorks internal software/systems;
  • Manages data validations, data handling through use of data software tools;
  • Runs data queries and analyzes data;
  • Performs basic actuarial calculations.
Succeeding as an Actuarial Analyst will require the following core qualifications and skills:
  • University degree;
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Successful completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams is an asset;
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Exceptional customer focus with strong professional acumen;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative, and independence;
  • A good understanding of personal computers and software, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with defined benefit or defined contribution pension plans or insurance programs an asset;
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
