Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and customer-focused Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for the office administration duties in our Process Department in our Halifax office, overlooking the beautiful downtown waterfront.Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Proofreading and formatting letters, reports, proposals, etc.
  • Data entry.
  • Organizing and booking travel for staff.
  • Internal mail delivery and preparation of outgoing mail/couriers.
  • Printing and binding.
  • Proposal, opportunity, and project tracking and recording.
  • Supply inventory, ordering, and management.
  • Project filing including implementation of and data entry into client relationship management software and archiving.
  • Tracking/recording/organization/updating of standards, technical reference materials, etc.
  • Occasional cross coverage with other departments.
  • Miscellaneous activities as required.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
  • The ideal candidate would have graduated with a college diploma in a business related or office management course, or equivalent job experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Highly professional demeanor with emphasis on client service.
  • A motivated self–starter willing to learn.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 policies and procedures and engineering consulting firms would be an asset.
  • Overtime may be required occasionally.
