• To ensure accurate and timely Corporate Actions processing in the ICI-Impact system for all New York Primary Dealer (NYPD) desks as well as financial activity flowing through the New York Branch Legal Entity.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for following established procedures and identifying and resolving problems. Individuals at this level are expected to independently resolve issues but refer more complex problems to supervisors or other experts for assistance and escalation. Individuals would be expected to contribute to work flow or process change and redesign, and to form a strong basic understanding of the specific function. May also be accountable for regular reporting or process administration.
• Supports the US Municipal, Rates (Government Securities) and Repo trading desks through Corporate Actions processing in the NY Branch Entity. Products Include: Municipal and Government Bonds (Rates and Agency) and Equity Preferred.
• Mandatory and Voluntary event types include but are not limited to Coupon and Interest payments, principal pay-downs, calls/defaults/maturities, exchanges, consent offers, tenders.
• Responsible for the complete voluntary corporate action lifecycle. Working directly with the trading desks and depositories.
• Responsible for resolving claims with external counterparties
• Responsible for reconciling and resolving position/cash breaks between ICI-Impact and depository (BoNY and DTC)
• Support for other Asset Servicing functions as necessary

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONSBasic Qualifications

• Typically includes Rotational Analysts, Recent college graduates, and lateral employees with entry level Operations experience
• Knowledge of Corporate Action events and processing
• Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equities products
• Familiarity with ICI-Impact, DTCC, Markit, BoNY Nexen, Gloss and Sophis would be an asset
• Team player with strong problem solving and communication skills
• Attention to detail with ability to work within tight business deadlines
• Proficient in basic MS Suite functionality

AUTHORITIES, IMPACT, RISK

• Individual can provide assistance to traders and trade support and perform back office functions only
• Individual has authority to book directly into ICI-Impact and Sophis risk system which feeds the GL
• Individual has the authority to submit election instructions to central depositories/agents

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

• Trade Support/Sales support staff
• Operation teams (Settlements, Controllers, Audit, Reorg, etc.)
• Front office trading desks/ Back-office IT
