Current enrollment is 18,500graduate and undergraduate students. As part of Canada’s U15 research-intensive university group, Dalhousie is an influential driver of the region’s intellectual, social, and economic development. The Faculty of Health is one of the largest faculties at Dalhousie, comprised of eight schools, one college and one program, more than 200 faculty members, 80 staff members, and over 3,000 students. We manifest and advance curricula, scholarship and school culture that are congruent with those values.The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate and/or graduate students. The teaching assignments will include teaching in the area of nursing care of adults with acute and chronic health conditions, interprofessional education, distance and context-based learning, and/or clinical simulation learning as well as courses to reflect the expertise of the successful candidate within the needs of the School.Applicants must hold a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree in Nursing and/or another health discipline. PhD prepared is an asset, in Nursing and/or another health discipline. All applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to developing excellence in their teaching and practice. A combination of four to five years’ clinical and teaching experience in the prevention and or management of acute and chronic health conditions in nursing care of adults is required. Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. The candidate is expected to become an active and engaged member of the School, Faculty and University. Activities at local, national, and international levels are expected to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning at Dalhousie.
