Previous experienceteaching PE at the elementary or secondary levels would be an asset. Membership or leadership experiencewith organizations such as PHE Canada, the Teaching Association for Physical and Health and Education(TAPHE), possession of professional certifications from the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), involvementin coaching school or community sport, as examples, would also be considered assets.The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the areas of teacher preparation (e.g.,elementary & secondary PE methods, assessment & evaluation), coaching (focusing on the NCCP curriculum),and other elective courses and/ or activity labs (e.g., educational gymnastics, dance).An overall ability to contribute to the collaborative and dynamic teaching and research culture in the School ofKinesiology is essential. The successful applicant will collaborate with the faculty to broaden the work of theSchool, particularly with undergraduate students wanting to pursue teaching physical education or coachingas a career.
