As a member of our highly skilled workforce you will conduct fair and impartial reviews by actively engaging in dialogue and utilizing alternative processes when appropriate. For any questions on education eligibility, please contact the email address indicated below.ExperienceYou must possess the following experience at the time of application:Option 1: Experience Acquired Outside of the Canada Revenue AgencyRecent and significant* experience with large and/or complex** entities in public practice, industry or other (non-CRA) government bodies performing one or more of the following functions:
  • Conducting or managing audits in accordance with Canadian auditing standards or Internal Auditing Standards;
  • Preparation of corporate tax returns, which includes providing tax advice and interpretations related to complex issues under the Excise Tax Act;
  • Providing tax advice and interpretations related to Goods and Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax (GST/HST) or a provincial sales tax (PST);
  • Preparing financial statements for large corporations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
OROption 2: Experience Acquired Within the Canada Revenue AgencyRecent and significant* experience administering or applying GST/HST and / or Excise legislation or policies as part of your major job duties while appointed to an AU-02/SP-08 level position or higher within the Canada Revenue Agency.OROption 3: CombinationA combination of recent and significant* experience under Option 1 and 2.
  • Recent and significant experience is normally associated with the performance of these functions as part of the major job duties accomplished for a period of 12 cumulative months or more in the last 5 years.
**Large and/or complex entities generally refer to corporations with gross revenues exceeding $10 Million CAD; however, each example will be assessed for its relative complexity based on the information presented in your application.AssessmentIf you have a limitation that may impact your performance during an assessment, such as a test or interview, you may require an accommodation, and we encourage you to ask for it.
