We are urgently seeking talented individuals to join our Halifax team at CGI as we continue to grow substantially across Atlantic CanadaAs a Test Lead, you will be responsible for the outcome of the entire test team for project delivery. You will also be responsible to define, maintain and implement the testing framework and testing strategies across various projects and programs. You will be responsible to organize and deliver end-to-end testing within a project, ensure conformance to the test framework and defined processes. One of the core aspect of this role is to identify the opportunities for automation, prepare the business case, plan and implement the automations and bring in efficiencies in the quality assurance processes.Your future duties and responsibilitiesSupport the new sales activities by providing testing solutions (approach, strategy, estimate etc.)Own the development of test strategies and plansLead the development of test cases/scripts, test case automation, test execution, and validation of resultsDevelop and perform manual and automated testing using testing tools such as Robot Framework or SeleniumPerform testing of complex functionalityPlan, assign and track testing activities and ensure testing completion as per the agreed timelinesEnsure strict adherence to the quality processes and meet and exceed customer quality expectationsLead the defect management processesDevelop and review the testing delivery documentation (e.g. test strategy, test plan, RTVM, testing closure reports, status reports etc.) to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risksHandle customer communication from testing standpointParticipate in the development and execution of the problem reporting processInteracts with other team members and clients to ensure quality solutionMentoring and upskilling of junior team membersRequired skillset:Prior experience of 7+ years as a test lead5+ years of experience in test automation with good understanding of testing frameworks and tools (Robot, UFT, Selenium)Knowledge of test methodologies and best practices (Waterfall, Agile and etc)Demonstrated test planning and implementation experienceExperience in API automation, API testing and using POSTMANGood understanding of Java and object oriented conceptsExperience in leading testing teams across multiple projectsA solid understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous deploymentExperience in Junit, Maven and Jenkins integration, Git, SVN, JIRAExcellent written and verbal communication skills
