Mills and provides backboards, armboards and leg boards. Repairs doors and door closures as required and performs other related duties as required. Large portion of position will be coordinating new construction projects, demolition & construction within the Health Centre.Hours of WorkMonday to Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pmYour Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Certified Journeyman Carpenter as issued by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years’ related experience required.
  • Knowledge of current edition of National Building Code.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Ability to react effectively to emergencies or other changes in work environment that require immediate re-prioritizing of tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ability to recognize and appropriately react to potential dangers.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work processes.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset
