We are currently looking to fill the term position of Business Intelligence Co-op Student in our Business Intelligence department.Accountabilities:You will be working as a member of the Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) team, supporting in several areas. Our enterprise BI tool is Tableau with SQL, Oracle & Azure Synapse back end. The successful candidate for this position will develop data models and reports in Tableau product suite and have accountabilities related to the administration of the (Tableau Server) platform.

  • Develop intermediate level Tableau data models and dashboards.
  • Leverage python (TabPy) in Tableau to develop data models.
  • Introduce new users to Tableau and support the self-serve users mainly by answering their Tableau questions.
  • Work with BI Leads to develop BI Process Templates, Data Inventory.
  • Tableau administration, e.g. adding or removing users, bug-fix, setting up projects, monitoring performance.
  • Test BI products as requested.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor´s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Diploma, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Information Management or related fields.
  • Specific knowledge of and experience with the Tableau platform (Desktop & Prep Builder) spanning development and administration of Tableau Server.
  • Knowledge and experience of Relational Databases: SQL, Oracle, Azure Synapse
  • Skills to write SQL Queries, Python scripts.
  • Knowledge and experience with SSIS will be an asset.
  • Knowledge & experience with BI application testing approaches and techniques will be an asset.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex environment characterized by multiple, competing/shifting priorities.
