Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedSummary:Cumberland Paving and Contracting is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Cumberland Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services.As a Concrete Labourer, You Will:

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour
  • Shovelling asphalt products, hand sweeping in front of concrete crew
  • Load, unload and move construction materials around the work-site
  • Comply with safe working procedures and practices
  • Ensure work-site is maintained and organized
What Youll Bring:
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • Previous experience in road work and concrete paving and/or general construction
  • Proficiency in working with hand tools
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Flexible to work days/nights/weekends and out of town when required
  • Travel is required
  • Able to promote a positive and safe work environment in a physically demanding and fast paced work environment
