The Faculty has been recognized for its innovative, values-based approach to management education and research. Reporting to the Director, MBA Programs (and receiving direction on a day to day basis by the Project Manager, MBA Program Proposal), the Coordinator, Recruitment and Marketing will recruit students for the MBA Corporate Residency and MBA Blended/Online Graduate Programs, working collaboratively with the MBA Programs team.Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake recruiting activities throughout Canada and internationally, introducing students, alumni and university professors to Dalhousie MBA programs at various program and career fairs, classroom visits, information sessions, webinars, to promote enrolment for Dalhousie MBA programs.
  • Organize, plan and execute all logistics and promotion related to events, workshops and resources for prospective MBA applicants (such as class visits, information sessions, one on one meetings, meetings with faculty, meetings with student societies, open houses, spend the day events).
  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing, communications and recruitment plan for MBA programs. This includes the development and revision of marketing and recruitment materials, and the management of social media and website communications.
  • Establish and maintain communication channels with potential students during the recruitment process through to acceptance and enrolment stage, and assist in preparation for admissions interview.
  • Assist the MBA Admissions Coordinator(s) during peak admissions periods, and keep abreast of MBA admissions trends, processes and application testing procedures.
NoteDue to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus. Extensive travel both domestically and internationally is required for this role.Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.QualificationsUndergraduate degree, with approximately three years’ related recruitment and marketing experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Must have demonstrated success in a sales environment as well as experience in logistics, event planning and/or project management. Exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential. Must be service and results oriented with a strong attention to detail. Proven ability to build trust and work effectively in a small, fluid, team-oriented environment. Experience with MS Office suite is required.
