  • Research, collect and create programming information at the highest level of quality that is available from sources in a timely and accurate manner for use in MVPD platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze programs, assess database information and research and create database content for original series and specials.
  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with programming information providers and act as a customer service representative when addressing issues concerning product content and editorial policies.
  • Research and document questionable program content by consulting program information providers and/or Gracenote personnel.
  • Populate data fields in the internal database system associated with the programming data.
  • Provide assistance to internal and external stakeholders and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that the department goals are met.
  • Work efficiently within time constraints in order to meet weekly and monthly requirements.
  • Being prepared to deal with changing requirements in a given day to meet the needs of the other teams and tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the management team.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Passionate about TV and the latest programs.
  • Must have keyboarding, Windows, Excel & G Suite proficiency.
  • Strong working knowledge of content standards and procedures or the ability to learn and implement standards.
  • Must demonstrate effective organizational, grammatical, analytical, spelling, writing and communication skills; AP Stylebook knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent project and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, ability to adjust to rapidly shifting deadlines while remaining detail-oriented.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long periods of time - 6-8 hours per day
  • Must be able to type on a keyboard and use a mouse for long periods of time - 6-8 hours per day
  • Must be able to visually absorb data via a computer monitor for up to 6-8 hours per day
  • Must be an active participant in team meetings so as to provide feedback
  • Must be able to collaborate with remote peers daily
  • If working remotely, the candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs in order to install computer equipment
  • Must be able to respond in a timely manner to internal/external communications
  • Must be able to work independently with excellent communication and time management skills
