Summer Student – The Terry Fox Foundation Events + Administrative SupportJoin us! After 143 days and 5,373 kilometers, Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario. You’ll assist with donor relations, communications, data entry, recruitment and administrative functions.Position: Temporary, Full-Time Summer Student Position, 35 hours per weekLocation: 103 – 3600 Kempt Road, Halifax NS, B3K 4X8Funding: This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs for Summer Career Placements 2023Dates: May 8th 2023 – August 25th, 2023 (start / end dates vary by region)Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am – 5pmEligibility: Applicants must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial and territorial legislation and regulations
What you’ll be doing:
  • Prepare, collate and distribute Run information kits
  • Data entry, processing for 2023 School Run / Community Run registrations
  • Telephone recruitment of schools to participate in the 2023 Terry Fox School Run
  • Maintaining the administration of files and correspondence for Terry Fox events
  • Updating and maintaining records in (CRM) Salesforce
  • Overseeing merchandise inventory, including receiving deliveries and shipping orders
  • Calling prospective registrants for 2023 participation to support recruitment efforts
  • Assisting stakeholders and public inquiries as needed – replying to incoming email, phone inquiries
  • General office duties and to assist with other special projects as required

  • Excellent initiative and ability to work as a team player
