With two challenging 18-hole golf courses—the Old and New—both with comprehensive practice facilities, Ashburn takes its place among the leading private golf clubs in Canada.The Old Course clubhouse is popular for dining, family occasions, banquets, weddings, and corporate functions. It is for this location that we are seeking an experienced, Executive Chef who is passionate about the culinary arts.The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. Along with being a working chef preparing meals for our members, guests, and catering clients, you will be responsible for assigning work in the kitchen; interviewing and training staff; kitchen inventory management; and partnering with the Sous Chef to come up with delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu. If you are passionate about the restaurant industry and have prior experience as a Chef, we invite you to apply today.Chef Responsibilities:- Planning club and catering menus in collaboration with the Sous Chef and Food and Beverage Manager- Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner- Hire, train and manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep and cooking- Monitor food and labour costs and follow established budgets- Maintaining safety and sanitation standards- Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary- Promote a climate of positive work culture and motivate employees when necessaryRequirements:- 5 years experience as a working Head Chef- Red Seal Chef certification- Advanced knowledge of culinary trends- Portfolio of creative, unique dishes- Expert multitasking ability- Great leadership and interpersonal skills- Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment- Passion and pride in food quality- We offer a competitive salary along with other benefits.
