Requisition ID: 125566Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 150,000 - 200,000Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For ServiceSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit ProgramAbout This OpportunityDalhousie Health Services clinic located in central Halifax on the Dalhousie University Campus is currently seeking a part-time family physician to join their friendly group made up of 12 full-time family physicians, and allied health professionals. This position is a 0.6 FTE and is compensated through a fee-for-service compensation model.This modern and spacious clinic provides primary care services to both the greater Halifax community as well as the Dalhousie student body. This clinic is professionally managed by experienced administrative staff, so an incoming physician can expect to just show-up and practice. Patient records are managed through the EMR, MedAccess. An incoming physician will be absorbing an existing patient roster, making this an easy transition into practice.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
• Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
• Act as a patient’s advocate
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

• Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
