Requisition ID: 125567Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 250,000 - 300,000Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For ServiceSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit Program*About This Opportunity*A clinic in the Clayton Park area is looking for a Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This clinic is centrally located and is conveniently nested within a residential area with a short commute to schools, stores and shopping centers. There are currently 3 physicians in the clinic and a Family Practice Nurse whose services are equally shared amongst physicians. This role comes with an existing patient roster of 1200 to 1400 patients. The compensation structure for the full-time position is fee-for-service.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Expected HoursFull-time, 1.0FTEQualifications
  • Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
