About This OpportunityWe are seeking a Family Physician to join our practice in Halifax Professional Centre for a short-term locum. A bright office space, own well-equipped office and shared space with another Family Physician. We have MedAccess EMR and an outstanding office administrator.Flexible in office hours. No extra hours/ on call responsibilities.Dates are negotiable- looking for approximately August 30 to October 29, 2021.Willing to offer competitive split towards overhead expenses.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease preventionConsultation and referral to other medical practitioners’Act as a patient’s advocatePrescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinationsReport births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirementsQualificationsEligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)Community DetailsHalifax, the largest urban area in Atlantic Canada and Nova Scotias capital city, sits in the center of Nova Scotias east coast and is an important seaport that looks out over one of the worlds largest natural harbors.Halifax is a perfect paradox.
