This centrally located practice is located in Spryfield and is a short commute to central Halifax. The practice is comprised of 9 Family Physicians, a Nurse Practitioner and one Family Practice Nurse, whose services are equally shared amongst physicians. The clinic is on the Med Access EMR, is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. The clinic is part of a group of clinics that has a walk in clinic and the incoming physician is welcome to be part of the rotation. The compensation structure for this part-time, 0.85FTE position is the alternative-payment-plan (APP).ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
• Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
• Act as a patient’s advocate
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
