End DateMonday 22 January 2024Salary Range£61,641 - £68,490We support agile working - click here for more information on agile working options.Agile Working OptionsFlexibility in when hours are worked, Hybrid Working, Job Share, Reduced HoursSummary.Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Finance Manager - 12 Month OpportunityLOCATION(S): Bristol, Cardiff, Chester or HalifaxSalary: £61,641 - £68,490HOURS: Full timeWORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of the above sitesAbout this opportunityAre you an experienced Finance Manager with a passion for technology, data and analysisWe have a fantastic opportunity for a naturally curious and analytically minded individual to join our Analysisamp; Insight team within Retail Cost Centre of Excellence, Group Costsamp; Investment (GC amp;I).We are currently recruiting for a 12-month role which will provide high-quality finance support to the Consumer Relationships business. The role will be largely focussed on providing end-to-end FTE management to support some of our largest Consumer Lending businesses. No two days will be the same, as the role will provide support for group strategic initiatives, business FTE management and explore deep-dive analytic opportunities.Day to day you #39;ll;

  • Create analysis and insight that builds our understanding of the business to enable better decision making
  • Identify business problems or performance anomalies (month-end); sourcing relevant data, modelling meaningful information, then drawing insights to provide recommendations and options
  • Take ownership, work collaboratively and have effective communication skills
  • Interpretamp; present management reports to senior stakeholders, ensuring that insight, results and issues are well understood and explained in a way that is relevant
  • Build relationshipsamp; influence a broad range of stakeholders across the Retail business

  • High degree of numeracy and ability to understand and process complex data into a clear succinct story.
  • Advanced Excel skills required and proficiency in Power BI, Power Queryamp; other data management tools desirable
  • Excellent verbalamp; written communication and presentation skills
  • Consistent record of managing senior stakeholders, including planning, preparation and delivery of high-quality analytical insight
  • Ability to thrive in a variedamp; fast-paced working environment
  • Having a financial qualification, or proactively working towards one, is considered helpful but not essential, however need relevant finance experience
