Were here to help you strengthen and develop your skills and introduce you to leaders at our bank that have a main focus on your success and development.We also want you to have access to our growing Indigenous community within Scotiabank so that you have the opportunity to connect, share, and learn with our Indigenous team members and allies.What to expect:When you begin your role, supporting you in training and development is our main priority, and our devoted training team will guide you through our 9-week training program where youll be encouraged to be curious and ask questions throughout your learning journey.

  • Youll be joining a team of at least 15 new team members for 3 weeks to begin training and develop your banking knowledge with the aid of a pre-assigned coach
  • Youll be encouraged to learn at your own pace, learning one product at a time to maximize your opportunity to be as comfortable with our products as possible
  • Youll also have the opportunity to build supportive relationships with your team members and new manager
Training will begin after onboarding, and is from Monday to Friday, 8:00AM - 4:00PM AST for up to 8 weeks. We are seeking flexibility from candidates, as work schedules can be anytime within our hours of operation (24/7). Permanent, ongoing work schedules will be finalized with new employees approximately 4 weeks before the end of training. We are committed to providing our employees with a balanced working environment, and your work schedule will be fixed, once assigned, not subject to rotation.Work From Home/Hybrid:While you will begin your employment at the location above, once you to meet a variety of criteria, which includes but not limited to private workspace, internet bandwidth, tenure, and performance, you will potentially be provided the opportunity to work from home after 3 months as we work to be agile with regional health guidelines and regulations.Additionally, you will:
  • Participate in our Quarterly Incentive Program
  • Attend coaching and development sessions and team meetings
  • Development plans to build out your personal career aspirations through monthly meetings with your manager
  • Ongoing training opportunities geared to help you build your skills and discover your full potential
