We are looking for an experienced Breakfast (F&B) Attendant to join our team at Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites Halifax.Food & Beverage Attendants are responsible for providing superior guest service to all hotel guests. They are responsible for daily set-up, tear down of the breakfast buffet area and to maintain all eating and serving areas in accordance with hotel standards and guidelines.Shifts for this role include early mornings, day, evening, weekends and holiday hours as required.Duties & Responsibilities: · Set up and replenish buffet ensuring cleanliness and food safety· Greet and ensure guests in the area are provided with a clean and comfortable table to enjoy their breakfast· Clean, reset, bus tables in breakfast area· Coffee service as required· Clean, refill and reset the breakfast bar and kitchen area· Assist in maintaining coffee service areas· Daily use of dishwasher and cleaning all dishes, utensils, glassware and cutlery utilized in the breakfast area· Prepare items to go as requested· Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information· Consistently practice guest and associate privacy and security· Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire safety training, and working in a safe manner.· At all times project a favorable image of the Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites to the public· Other duties as assigned by managerPreferred Education & Qualifications: · High School Degree or equivalent· 1-2 years experience in a high-volume restaurant environment· Education in Hospitality and/or Tourism considered a strong asset· Excellent guest, customer, and associate relations skills· Ability to multi-task and prioritize while providing excellent customer service· Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal directionWorking Conditions: · The successful candidate will work full time; including evenings, weekends and holidays· Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.We offer a competitive hourly rate, comprehensive benefits package, incentives, travel discounts world-wide, training and development, fun activities and more.
