Job Description

JSTL Construction and Wonderful BC Clean Services are looking for full-time Operations Manager with some administration duties.We are looking for a reliable and hardworking superstar who will oversee both businesses and ensure that they are organize and running smoothly. You will be working in a close cooperation with the owners, our accountant and your assistant.Duties:

  • Financial: AP and AR tasks; GST, preparation of financial statements, cost reports and bank reconciliations; resolving problems with budget allocations and prepare necessary documents; cash handling; monthly remittances; preparing documents for annual reports
  • Payroll and HR: Oversee payroll; hiring strategy; completing interviews; preparing necessary documents for Payroll and keeping HR database up to date; WorkSafeBC claims and payments
  • Marketing: manage social media and other advertisement; delegating contractors to ensure posted content is relevant
  • Communication: managing all incoming emails and maintain our booking calendar for the cleaning company; meeting new clients and promoting both companies; resolving problematic situations and dealing with complains
  • Admin: bookkeeping and other admin duties
  • Directly liaising with Wonderful clients and managing booking calendar
  • Assist owners with anything related to business; ensure both companies are running smoothly; make decisions to improve both businesses and generate higher profit, etc.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role for at least 2 years; relevant university degree a big plus
  • Commitment for at least 2 years on full-time basis (40hr/week)
  • Superior knowledge of Accounting Software and Excel
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Valid work permit (permanent residency or citizenship preferred)
  • Ability to initiate, implement and support new or modified approaches, practices and processes
  • Identifies and seizes opportunities to improve fiscal and operational performance
  • You must be an excellent multitasker and communications superstar; we are looking for somebody reliable, detail oriented and positive
  • You must be excellent in planning and have understanding of small business operations
  • Strong verbal and communications skills
  • Outstanding computer skills
  • Desire to actively innovate, change and improve processes on a daily basis
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and think creatively to develop unique and effective solutions
