Job Description

Position Summary:At CGI we are looking for the creative and passionate Functional Automation Tester with a proven background in Agile/Waterfall/RAD development. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced and challenging environment and be able to work directly with clients and other CGI team members so communication and presentation skills are equally as key as the proven technical excellence that this candidate must demonstrate.As an Automation Tester you would be required to help lead and conduct functional testingJob Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create automated test scripts
  • Gather requirement, prepare functional documentation, test scripts preparation and execution.
  • Act as a test subject matter expert for a particular solution, functional area, or application
  • Perform requirements analysis
  • Perform quality risk analysis
  • Develop or assist in developing strategic/tactical testing deliverables
  • Identify and document test conditions/scenarios
  • Develop and document traceability matrix(ces)
  • Perform test analysis and design
  • Identify and prepare test data
  • Execute testing cycle activities as defined in the test plan
  • Identify, log, and follow-up on all defects encountered
  • Perform additional system testing-related activities, as required
  • Communicate progress of testing activities to the Team Lead/Manager
  • Produce status reports, as required
  • Participate in lessons learned reviews
  • Participate in pertinent team training and knowledge transfer activities
  • Update and maintain pertinent team training and KT assets
  • Maintain and communicate a solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies and terminology
  • Act as a mentor for junior/intermediate test team members
Highly desired skills:
  • UFT or QTP
  • ITIL knowledgeable
  • Experience with automated testing tools
o Selenium, Selenium web driver, Maven, Jenkins
  • Javascript
  • Java or Python or C#

  • Cucumber
  • SoapUI and SAPGUI, SAP-Web, Web HTTP/HTML, RTE and Web Services Protocols.

  • ALM (quality center 11.0)
  • Full understanding of testing frameworks

  • UAT Testing
  • Loadrunner
  • Sharepoint
