Stingray reaches 400 million subscribers (or users) in 156 countries.Stingray Radio has a rare opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to lead our operations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.Based in Halifax, you will manage our Halifax stations and oversee the overall operations of Stingray’s thirteen stations in eight markets across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.You will be responsible for the followingDeveloping and executing annual business plans.Developing and managing operating budgets with the goal of maximizing EBITDA performance.Achieving total monthly, quarterly and annual airtime and digital revenue goals.Developing and leading an engaging workplace culture, managing and motivating all employees by demonstrating positive team leadership.Mentoring and developing the local market General Managers, Sales Managers and sales teams to ensure sales teams are at full strength and performing at a high level.Interacting with station management to examine best practices and implement initiatives to improve sales.Managing the relationships between programming, promotions and sales departments in order to realize revenue targets.Working with the SVP Brands & Content to enhance and grow all of Stingray’s brands by closely monitoring all aspects of programming, promotions, creative, imaging and music.Leading the development and presentation of the Strategic Planning Process.Ensuring stations are compliant with unique CRTC mandated quotas, CCD initiatives and CBSC guidelines.Bringing an innovative approach to established and proven radio operating models.Attending industry related and social events to strengthen relationships with clients.Traveling to the other locations within Nova Scotia and New Brunswick as required.As the successful applicant, you will possess the following skills and qualificationsBachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications/Media/Broadcasting or related field preferred.5+ years of progressive radio management experience in sales, content, and/or general management with demonstrated proficiency in various leadership roles.Prior experience as a radio General Manager is preferred.Working knowledge in content, sales, digital sales, promotions, production, creative and administrative support operations.Results oriented, with a strong tendency for action and a deep sense of accountability.Experience working in a high-change environment, directing large, diverse and dispersed teams.Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance.Excellent community relations, interpersonal and leadership skills with a strong executive presence.Stingray supports the principles of Employment Equity and is committed to ensuring our workforce is representative of the communities we serve and in which we operate.
