Job Description

Job DescriptionDo you love to cook Are you passionate about food We are seeking a Grill Cook to join the SMU Dining team at Saint Marys University! As a Grill Cook on our team, you’ll help bring recipes to life while being able to flex your creativity!This is a union position with SEIU Local 2 and pays $14.86, however, the Collective Agreement is under negotiation and this wage will be subject to an increase.Job Responsibilities

  • Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
  • Preps, cooks, and serves made to order items on the grill
  • Uses grille, fryers, and ovens
  • Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
  • Assists with culinary auditing, temperature checking of food items within kitchen, stations, fridges and freezers
  • Ensure adherence to Aramark’s Policies and Procedures
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years culinary experience preferred
  • Valid WHMIS, Food Safe Advanced Certification, First Aid Certification considered an asset
  • Must be able to work effectively and efficiently, supervised, and unsupervised
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull min. 35 lbs.
