Being the first point of contact to all guests, you will be providing exceptional service from check in to check out, ensuring effective communication, handling any concerns that may arise, and following up as required with various guests and departments.Your Hours: · 32 - 40 hours per week. Shifts vary depending on business levels but will include evenings, weekends and holidaysWhat You’ll Do: · Greet guests upon arrival; offer luggage assistance.· Complete check in/out procedures with minimal errors.· Make decisions regarding guest requests or resolves complaints and escalate the issue to a Manager when necessary.· Answer all guest inquiries and provide information to guests about local attractions, services, hotel services, hotel facilities and other amenities.· Follow cash handling and payment card industry procedures. Follow all procedures and checklists to ensure security of private guest information.· Create guest reservations via telephone, central/global reservations, and in person.· Provide courteous and efficient telephone services including accurate message taking, delivering messages, mail, packages and other items as required.· Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.· Present statement of charges to departing guests and receive payment.· Assist other departments and coworkers where necessary.· Support upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.We Offer: · Excellent Training Programs, Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package· Employee and Family Assistance Program and work/life balance· Discounts at SilverBirch Hotels· Access to a fitness facility and nutrition information· Culture focused on Sustainable Engagement in a respectful and safe workplace· Community Involvement, Volunteer Opportunities and Green Initiatives· Celebrations for birthdays, anniversaries, and other Hotel events such as a summer BBQ, and annual holiday party· One duty meal per day for associates working 6 hours or more per day as a taxable benefit.· Uniforms are provided and cleaned.We want to hear from you- apply today!You’re Good At: · Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent or similar role.· Previous experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.· Must be physically able to perform the job; lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds, walking and standing for extended periods of time.· Customer service attitude.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· High level of integrity and accountability, with attention to detail, makes minimal mistakes or learns from mistakes· Highly organized, able to work independently and detail oriented.· Positive, enthusiastic and willing to learn and grow.· Punctual and reliable.
