Job Description

The Head Host is a senior role in the hospitality industry responsible for providing leadership to the Host team at Le Rouge. The successful candidate will have a friendly demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills to be able to relate well with all guests.The role of Head Host in constant communication, both verbally and otherwise (RESY System) with guests, therefore, their communication skills are paramount. Supervision and delegation is the primary function of the Head Host, so they must be well-organized, concise with direction while remaining composed, respectful and personable.The role is an ambassador of the brand, therefore, its important for the Head Host to carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Not only ;should they be poised and courteous but should also have a solid understanding of our policies and procedures, as well as what we have to offer on our menus.The Head Host has the opportunity to leave the first and last impression on the guest! It is an important responsibility that has a direct impact on the overall success of the restaurant.Required

  • Working experience in hosting for a min of 2 years
  • Possess BEO management experience
  • Experience with online reservation database
  • Possess high-level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Reservation and time-management skills
  • Strong understanding of rotational flow
  • Ability to manage complaints tendered by clients
  • Ability to relate well with other members of staff towards excellent service delivery to clients
  • Ability to maintain consistent cleanliness of the dining room serving stations
  • Ability to answer telephone calls in the most diplomatic and soothing manner
  • Possess expert knowledge of restaurant floor plan
