Reporting to the Senor Data Advisor and Business Analyst with day to day oversight from the Reporting Analyst, the HR Data Assistant supports the Leave Management Project, the Absence and Overtime Reporting System, as well as HR Data Revitalization by providing front line support and performing a variety of data entry tasks.Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate supervisor information for Banner Time Entry, Leave Management/AOR, and Chrome River.
  • Process standard and ad hoc data audit reports to ensure data integrity and quality within the HR management system.
  • Under the supervision of the Data Revitalization Project Team, analyze spreadsheets and perform required data entry to achieve uniform data entry standards.
  • Respond to a wide range of inquires pertaining to the setup and maintenance of employee records.
  • Respond to a wide variety of Absence and Overtime Reporting inquiries from employees and supervisors on a timely basis, liaising with Employee Relations for inquiries related to labour relations/interpretation of collective agreements.
  • Make manual adjustments to vacation balances following the annual vacation roll in coordination with DASM team members.

However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.QualificationsOffice Administration program with three to five years’ related experience required (or equivalent combination of training and experience). Experience with working with Banner preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Task oriented and strong attention to detail required to respond to inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
