(SSPI) is a leader in the delivery of crystallization engineering services including screening and selection of polymorphs, co-crystals, salts, and crystallization process development and optimization. SPPI has experienced great success with the workflows that have been developed by combining fundamentals of crystallization and solid form science with years of experience and high throughput techniques. SSPI is conducting research on pharmaceutical crystallization engineering, polymorph screening, salt screening, co-crystal screening, chiral resolution, polymorph quantification, converting amorphous material to crystalline solid, chemical and crystallization process modeling. SSPI is working with a large number of pharmaceutical companies across the globe to help them fully understand the solid state and crystallization of their drug candidates.About Halifax, Nova ScotiaHalifax is one of the most beautiful and historic Canadian cities. Halifax has one of the mildest winters in Canada as well as one of the most pleasant summers, which you can enjoy on the beautiful water front boardwalk.SummaryHuman Resources Manager reporting to the president, develop innovative strategies on recruitment, careers ladders, compensation, benefits, policy development, workforce planning, performance management, reward programs, coaching, “inclusion, diversity and Equity”, etc. This is a full time on-site job.Job ResponsibilityDevelop strategies for human resources, talent recruitment, retention, and succession planning.Lead the talent search, interviews, hiring and on-boarding.Develop and implement innovative HR strategies aligned with the overall business direction.Research the trends in compensation and benefits to maintain competitive base and incentive pay programs.Develop, promote, execute, and coach on competencies for advancing employees’ career.Develop and execute reward and recognition program.Contribute to further nurturing a positive working environment.Oversee employees’ possible disciplinary actions, conflict resolution or performance improvement process.Comply and promote SSPI’s cultural values and missions.Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives excellence.Maintain compliance with applicable Nova Scotia labour laws and regulations.Maintain confidentiality and privacy.Implement technologies and workflows that optimize the recruitment process.Other responsibilities as assigned.Education & ExperienceMinimum of Bachelors degree in Human Resources, or related field required.
