Are you a First Nations, Métis, or Inuit Human Resource Specialist who wants to be a part of a diverse, dynamic team helping to make a significant impact at Deloitte A role with Deloitte’s new and developing Indigenous Talent Strategy team (INTS CoE) is an opportunity to make an impact in shaping our firm for the future, starting with our most important assets, our people .What will your typical day look likeAs part of Deloitte’s Learning and Development (L amp;D) team and INTS CoE, you will play a key role in assisting in the execution of Deloitte Canada’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and Indigenous Talent Strategy based on the guiding commitments under the pillar of Education. This role will leverage your skills to develop, plan, research, engage, assess and manage Indigenous content, learning opportunities and course development in coordination with the L amp;D team at Deloitte. This position will also partner with other Indigenous professionals, both on our talent team and across the firm, to develop custom courses and across the firm.We are seeking an individual with content development experience to develop and delivery of innovative learning projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project plans, coordinating with various team members, building strong relationships, and ensuring the execution of deliverables according to the project timeline. This role requires a proactive approach to resource research. monitoring, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive change within the organization.Responsibilities:
  • Develops and coordinates end-to-end project plans with learning team and stakeholders, providing reports, management or remediation, risk identification as needed to keep workstreams on track
  • Coordinates project team members (content team members, skills team members, learning modernization team, etc.) ensuring clear hand-offs between teams and the execution of deliverables aligned to project plan
  • Design, collaborate, build and curate Indigenous learning programs
  • Creates strong connections and relationships across Learning and Development and other Indigenous teams in order to successfully manage and deliver projects
  • Coordinates with others in the firm in designing learning solutions to achieve the learning development and operational goals for project
  • Anticipates and navigates change while motivating others (e.g., team members, peers) to embrace changes with other project managers, resourcing manager, development leads, operations, and member firm relations in designing learning solutions to achieve the learning development and operational goals for project

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely; however, it’s important to note that some travel may be required to fulfill job responsibilities. The extent and frequency of travel will depend on specific project needs and collaboration requirementsAbout The TeamLearningamp; Development (L amp;D) Experience is a centralized team, providing world-class learning and development programs and experiences that build better humans, advance future readiness skills and capabilities, and support personal and professional growth. With an aspiration to become a leadership development “powerhouse”, the L amp;D Experience team is the face of learning to the business and works to collectively transform how our people, clients and communities learn, build connections, and are inspired through curated experiences. The team advises on, designs, implements, and executes the Indigenous Talent Strategy, providing full-lifecycle support. You will work alongside other members of the team and other subject matter experts within our broader People Experience team.You will also be joining our growing Indigenous community at Deloitte – which consists of Indigenous employees (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) across Turtle Island working in several different service lines at the firm. On top of participating in and celebrating Indigenous cultures both in the workplace and individually through paid cultural days, our Indigenous community helps provide invaluable advice to the different areas of the firm on advancing reconciliation in a corporate setting.Enough about us, let’s talk about youThis role is best suited for a motivated self-starter with course development skills and knowledge, and brings insights and recommendations to our team. Project management skills are beneficial as is the ability to partner with cross-functional teams. Delivering on the Indigenous Talent Strategy and establishing collaborative relationships across the firm in the building, planning, scoping and delivery of projects that seek to drive Indigenous success will be critical components of the role.In this role the expected qualifications are:
  • Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) in Canada
  • A passion for designing, developing, and implementing innovative learning solutions and a resume to back it up!
  • Proven project management skills and experience leading complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • 5+ years experience in learning and development or related field
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs focused on inclusive practices
  • Exceptional relationship skills and an ability to build and maintain a strong network with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Design experienceamp; designations would be an asset
  • Experience working with First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples (and expertise in issues faced by Indigenous peoples and communities in Canada)
  • Demonstrated interest in and commitment to furthering reconciliation with Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples
  • Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively to promote diversity and inclusion efforts.
Due to the nature of the role having interactions with Nationalamp; Global clients, English is required for this position.Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
