We expanded into the HVAC business with the same passion and excellence we offer in our other business services.The Installer Apprentice will assist the Installer Technician in completing the installation of all products sold by Ultimate Home Comfort.What we offer: · Competitive salaries· Employee benefits· Company eventsResponsibilities· Follow the standard operating procedures with respect to installation and service of Ultimate Home Comfort products.· Listen to all instruction from the Installer Technician.· Anticipate what the installer technician may need (part or tool) to complete the task at hand.· Maintain proper safety equipment at all times.· Call customers on route to job sites (when requested).· Perform Tasks as required including (but not limited to) such activities as: cutting holes, installing flashings; installing venting; taking notes and holding ladders.· Must be able to work on roof tops· Keep truck clean and organized· Observe and learn constantly – remember the goal is to move up to Installer Technician with your own truck.· Collect balances owed by customers when requiredHours of workAs an Ultimate Home Comfort Installer Apprentice, you will be scheduled for regular Monday to Friday, however hours will vary. Overtime is part of the position and when required, overtime is paid for any week over 48 hours.Deliver Excellent Customer Service· Answer customers questions promptly, if you don’t know the answer call the office for more information.· Up-sell Ultimate Home Comfort products and services (when applicable).General DutiesAd hock tasks as required, such as (but not limited to)· Cleaning showroom and warehouse· Stocking shelves· Filling propane tanks for customers· Assemble BBQ’s etc.· Ensure stock items in truck are refilled when necessarySkills and CertificationGas Technician 2 Apprenticeship course certification is an asset or willingness to obtain; valid drivers license; clean drivers abstract; experience with basic hand tools, ability to work in elevated situations such as roof tops.Personal AttributesAttitude of continuous improvement; self-motivated and hard working; honest; positive and trustworthy.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $18.00-$20.00 per hourSchedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Class G Licence (required)
