Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in our Halifax office for an Intermediate Biologist to join our team.In Atlantic Canada, our Environmental Team has been winning numerous exciting projects and we are looking to further grow with individuals who want to advance their career and take on new challenges as part of a dynamic team.The ideal candidate would have expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: wetland delineation and functional assessments, stream and culvert assessments, marine and freshwater vegetation surveys, aquatic invertebrate collection and identification and MSSPs/UBHSs.   • Provide consulting services in the capacity of an Intermediate Biologist related to the areas of expertise provided above.
  • Conduct field surveys and report preparation as part of our diverse and multi-disciplinary Environmental Sciences Team.
  • Work with many environmental project mangers, but also collaborate with project managers from our various other departments and branches.
  • Mentor and direct some junior staff and collaborate with other environmental professionals on our Team.
  • Build and/or support client relationships.
Your Credentials and Capabilities:
  • University Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc. or B.Eng.).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in environmental consulting or relevant environmental industry.
  • Working experience in wetland delineation and functional assessments, stream and culvert assessments, marine and freshwater vegetation surveys, aquatic invertebrate collection and identification and MSSPs/UBHSs.
  • Experience working on Canadian federal projects is considered a strong asset.
  • Potential for limited travel throughout Atlantic Canada and/or Ontario.
  • Strong advocate for occupational health and safety.
