Career OpportunityPRIMARY FUNCTION: IT Technical Support works with PSA Halifax Management to strategize computer related technology solutions at the individual user level, to meet PSA Halifax goals and business needs. The position provides technical assistance in computers, applications, software, and answers questions/concerns on all computer/electronic equipment. IT Technical Support Specialist provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installations, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following, but not limited to: Oversee the daily performance of computer systems at the user level; answers user inquiries regarding computer software/hardware operation to resolve problems; sets up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and/or appropriate software; plan, implement and migrate operation system upgrades; ensure efficient, effective, and secured working email systems mail server; performs hands on troubleshooting of all types of equipment including but not limited to: Computers, Laptops, Tablets, Cell Phones, Printers, Copiers, etc.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
